The veterans home was first set up in Pingtung City under the Taiwan provincial government in 1870, and then moved to Neipu district in 1981. The home is now managing by Veterans Affairs Council, R.O.C. They provide the retired veterans who is 61 years old a lovely home for the rest of their life to stay. The whole district is calm and clean. With a road of golden shower tree, many people come to visit the beautiful scenes of the golden rain on May.
