It covered an area of 1,005 hectares and was programmed by Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan. The main area that are in public is about 85 hectares, to motivate people get to know the forest and respect to the nature, the authority combine Pingtung's feature, culture and history into the forest park. The authority also carry out the energy saving, carbon reduction and green building to create a complete ecology teaching environment which provides parents and child have a relaxing environment and help kids have more cognition about the ecology.
