Sheng Li New Village was an old Japanese military dormitory, after the change by Pingtung government, now becomes to a brand new creative park. The history tracks back to the period of Japanese occupation. Because of the first airport was built in Pingtung , Japanese government built lot of dormitories for Japanese officers of army, this was what Sheng Li New Village become later. After nationalist government taking of Taiwan, it came to be army air force’s dormitories. With Japanese architectures and old trees, it’s a good place for visitors to take photographs. In the house, the government conserve rich properties of the past. In the village, some dormitories show the history of the army and officers.
Nowadays, most of dormitories in the village have become featured restaurants. For visitors, it’s the first choice for them to have fun and eat!
