Wan Hui Gong, also known as Wandan Mazu Temple, it is one of the famous Mazu Temples in Pingtung. It is said that Mazu embodied herself as a young girl and caught bombs with bear hands to protect people in the World War II. After the air raid, people found the sculpture of Mazu’s thumbs were cut off, and Tongji (spirit medium) said that it was because Mazu catch the bombs, which deepen the worshipper’s belief to the story and made WanHuiGong now bustling with worshippers.
