Zhutian station has opened since 1919, during the Japanese Colonial Period. Zhutian station and Sankuaicuo station was the only two remaining wooden station built during the rule of Japanese occupation. Zhutian station is divided into 3 sections, wooden station, Dr. Ikegami Ichiro Memorial Library, and the Memorial House of Photographer Lee Hsiu-yun. The wooden station is still in use and turned into a shop selling some souvenirs and you can also find souvenir stamps in the station. Zhutian railroad station was once a prosperous station that there are even public baths available for commuters.
